Hi, I am having a problem w/ Windows 2000 Pro (SP4) This doesn't happen
alot, but will happen often. Randomly a blue screen with a stop error (dont
remember the exact numbers, will post them if i can remember to write it
down next time) and the driver it says is "i8042prt.sys" I know this driver
is used to control the mouse/keyboard inputs, but the stop errors regarding
this driver was supposed to have been fixed in an earlier service pack.
Help me if you can.
Thanks- Chris

~System Specs~
P4 1.8ghz
ATI Radeon 9600XT
256 mb ram
2 old and kind of small hds, but with about 11.4 gbs free total
Win 2000 pro, service pack 4, with all windows updates

Excerpt follows

0x000000D1: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
(Click to consult the online Win XP Resource Kit article.)
The system attempted to access pageable memory using a kernel process
IRQL that was too high. The most typical cause is a bad device driver
(one that uses improper addresses). It can also be caused by caused by
faulty or mismatched RAM, or a damaged pagefile
